Who We Are |
In January 2015, a conversation with Anne Burke, one of the founding directors of the non-profit orgainzation, Columbia Resilience, 501c3, led to their becoming a sponsor for the non-profit ministry, Hands for Peace Trauma Relief Clinic. Under their umbrella we soon evolved and formally joined Columbia Resilience as the Integrated Health Community Project. This sponsorship continues and has expanded to provide multiple alternative treatment modalities, (including Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Energy Balancing, and gentle massage for stress relief.), a hot vegetarian meal, labyrinth walk, and group self-care classes for stress relief.
In June 2015, we were awarded a Richland County Discretionary Grant to develop and provide a series of ongoing classes and workshops teaching women self-care techniques for healing from trauma. Additionally, we received contributions through the Midlands Gives Campaign to support the Integrated Health Community Clinic. Currently the classes are available through participation with non-profit organizations, and are now accepting groups for men only, The community clinic is offered at the office of Chi Energy Balance, 1544 HIGHWAY 6, GASTON, SOUTH CAROLINA 29063. COVID RESTRICTIONS 2021 At this time, only individual clinic requests can be made by scheduling for a "Soul Care" appointment and indicating "CLINIC APPOINTMENT" on the client introductory form at check-out. Appointments for the clinic are on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 11:00am and close at 4:00p.m. Participants must preregister by calling Pam at 803-749-1576 on the Friday before each clinic. Our goal is to create "mobile clinics" that will be set up at various venues, ultimately training local providers to run their own clinics. |
Opportunities Through the Clinic |

Anyone who joins the Time Bank can use volunteer hours at the clinic in exchange for other services through the Time Bank.
